Hey! Hope you guys are having a great start to your week. I wanted to give you an update. Still working on Forbidden Shadows, the next in the Lee County Wolves, and getting the next Magic and Mayhem Universe finished, which will release in October. Super busy! I have Jill’s cover which I hope you LOVE and will be posting that very soon when I put her up for Pre-Order. So yeah, that’s what’s going on here.
Also, this is the last chance to vote for Jakey Pooh in the cover contest over at Allauthor. If you have a chance he sure could use your vote. He is currently in second place and has a climb to get to third. The cover contests are great because it does showcase authors works in front of new winners so even coming in second would be amazing, but you know how these Warriors are…always wanting to be first. HA!

I’m sending you continued positive thoughts on your tough year. We all totally get that. I am a super fan of The Protector series audiobooks (I would give it more than 5 stars if I could:-). Can you provide an update on whether the rest of the series will be added to Audible? I am now listening to Charger (book 16) and am so hooked that I would love to buy the rest of the books on Audible when available. Jeffrey Kafer is a GREAT narrator, so sending cheers to him as well!
Hey Beth! Thank you so very much! And I have great news that I just shared on social media. I have signed a 9-book deal with Tantor Media for the rest of the Protectors Series including King. I don’t have release dates for them, but will share as soon as they give them to me. I asked for Jeffrey Kafer and they agreed so I am hoping that Jeffrey’s schedule works and he will once again be the voice of the Warriors. I will be heartbroken. I will fight to have him continue. LOL! Thank you again for the support. Means the world to me.

I just want to say that I love your books. The protectors series is undoubtedly one the of best series I have read. I hope you keep going. I would like to see some of the older characters in up coming books. I would also like to know where Sloan and Becky stand. In Jill’s book it seemed like there might be trouble for the couple. I also have to say that my favorite couples are Slade and Jill, Jax and Caroline and Blaze and Katrina. I hope at some point to see more about their relationships. Thanks for everything.

I absolutely LOVE THIS SERIES and I disagree with people about there being let downs “ I think every book builds into the overall story and experience of the warriors and the guardians. I am sad that I’ve made my way to book 27 and book 28 isn’t out yet but these books are incredible please don’t stop writing I don’t think I could handle not knowing what happens next

I am just about done reading the Protectors Series for the 2nd time. Love love love the series! Steve just cracks me up so much I laugh out loud, but then catch myself hoping no one heard me. Lol. I would love more Katrina and other mates books. But whatever is next I’m sure will be great!
My question is there a timeframe on the next book?

I agree. I want to read more about Dillon. He was with Adam and Jill along with Jeff. Well Jeff got his, but I want to hear more about Dillon. He can mate with Lana’s younger sister. Hahahaha.
I was disappointed with Jill’s book. Nothing much is ever said about Becky anymore. I think both Becky and her son Frankie needs to be turned. Frankie can get his own mate as well. I’m sure we’ll be reading more about Daniel and his adventure.
I’ve read all books and re-read them over and over. The character, Sid just gets me gut laughing.
I love the books, keep them coming!!
My favorite characters are Jill, Damon, Sid, Ryker, Bonnie and Raven.
Hey Kathi! I’m trying to get more Dillon in there. For some reason, I am having a hard time connecting with his character, but I will. LOL! I’m sorry that you were disappointed with Jill’s book; I get it. Sometimes, as the author, it’s hard after writing about a character so much not to become complacent with that character. I will do better. Jill is still one of my favorite female characters, and yet, as I reread to get ready for the next book, I start to like others better. Bonnie is also one of my faves as well as Raven. Sid is a HOOT. LOL! Thank you for the support, and I hope the next book in the series will not disappoint. That is my goal with every book.

I have been readying your protector series and am a bit frustrated. I feel I am waiting longer and longer for the next book. To have a series this large and there seems to be no end to it. Don’t get me wrong I would be happy to read on but it is getting to the point where the older charters are not there (Jax and Rohan are just two) or not being utilised and it is dragging. The woman’s stories are great to keep in touch with older characters but there are others I was hoping to read about next, not Jill. I didn’t like how she was just as much the main character as Jake was. Is Jill coming next? and poor Jake has been left up in the air. Who is this King and Dillon?? Please not more new characters! I’m guessing Daniel will be the final??
I have been loving this series but I found Jakes a letdown, I thought Jessie was going to get kidnapped by gello and jake saves her. But all that book did was build Jill up for her book. Poor Jake and Jessie story was boring, had no build up to a Steamy part and never really got exciting in any way. Please try and focus on this series for a bit.

Sorry I am just getting to your comment. Yes, Jill is next as you might already know. I’ve heard from a few readers who, like yourself, who felt Jill was in Jake’s book too much. Not sure what I can say about that other than you are probably right. I hear you as well as a few others who have written to me about Jill. But I also hear other readers who wanted Jill’s story as not a Mate, but a Protector book and I as the author agreed with that. I felt she deserved her book as well. She will not have a mate book.
As for older characters after 27 books and a whole lot of characters I do my best to bring them all in, but at times I don’t. That is why the Mate books are being written. There will be new characters, as King is one of them. I understand that you feel that Jake’s story was a let down which was not my intention. I try in posts, on Lives and however I can to explain that this is a ongoing series. As of this time readers want more and I will give them more which means new characters as well as continued storylines. I refuse to word vomit the same stuff about each character, same situations, etc. in each book. To me as a reader and a writer…that is boring. Jill has been the hardest for me. She has been in around as long as Steve, Adam and Dillon. From the feedback I’ve gotten I did my job with her Warrior story. It wasn’t regurgitating the same Jill story over again.
King is a new character that was written in Angelina’s book. He is a Warrior recruit. Dillon has been in and out of the series since Jared’s book. More out than in, but because of the readers wanting him that will change. As of right now I can’t tell you what book will be the last book since Sloan was originally supposed to be the last book and because of the readers I have continued with the series. As for dragging it out, yes, I guess I am since it is a series. That’s what usually happens in books and television series.
Jake and Jessie will continue their story because as I have said repeatedly…this is a series. Ronan will be back, he is mentioned in Jill’s book, but not a big player because Kira’s Mate book is not next. I am not just putting characters in just because. There has to be a reason for them to be there.
I hope this answers some of the issues you have with the books. I do my best to make everyone happy, but in reality I know that is not always going to happen. I try to explain the best I can and hope you continue, but I totally understand if you do not. I refuse to write the same old song and dance in each book which is why I bring in new characters as well as spotlight who will be the next book. I’ve done that from the beginning and honestly will continue until the last book.
As for Jake and Jessie, again their story is not over because it’s a series. If you recall King who loves ballet dance….well just wait for his story if you want more of Jake and Jessie, that is if you stick around for the rest of the series which I hope is the case. If not I do want to thank you for the support you have given to this point. I do appreciate and respect your opinion and I do hear you, but please do not assume I do not focus on my writing. That is not a opinion, but an assumption which I can state is a hundred percent wrong. The rest I respect and tried to explain because I actually do care.
