Last night I was at my sons wrestling meet when someone came up and told me how much they were liking my book. Her exact words were. “I was late because I couldn’t put your book down. I’m at the part where they’re at the baseball game and Nicole _________ Mitch.” Didn’t want to have a spoiler there so I had to leave a blank. If you want to see what Nicole does to Mitch guess you’ll have to get the book. LOL! Always promoting…. Hey Damon (The Protectors Series) is only .99 cents. She also added…”You need to hurry on the second one.” Thank you Joyce for those words. You will never know what they mean to me.Okay, now back to my feel good story. To hear someone talking to me about something I wrote using characters names is such a high. My husband just turned and looked at me in surprise. HEE, I love shocking that man. It’s not that he doesn’t think I can do it and actually he and my son have been cheering me on the loudest, but I guess hearing someone’s excitement about something his wife wrote shocked him a bit. No, he has never read it. Now if I write something about MMA he’d be all over that. 🙂
Vampire romance is such a large genre with many awesome authors. Just to have a few passionate readers who like my stories is more than I can ask for and makes me happy. When I started writing years ago I remember a conversation I had with my husband and I think about it daily. “Just to have someone read something I wrote and like it would be a dream come true.” Those were my exact words and I have repeated those sames words many time. I guess now I can say…”My dream has come true.” Never give up on your dreams and always keep truckin no matter what stands in your way. If I can achieve my dreams so can you!
