Yes, that’s right…I have the rejection blah’s, but it’s all good. You never know until you put yourself out there and that’s exactly what I did. Of course I just got the, I am sorry to inform you we will not be offering a contract as your story does not fit our needs, rejection. At first my stomach tightened with disappointment and a tear or two watered my eye, but hey I’m human, most days. No one likes rejection, we all want to be accepted, but of course that’s not the way the world works. I wish they would have given me a little hint of what didn’t work. Was it the whole story, I suck as a author, grammar is an issue, just too many of these types of books out there, etc. etc? Come on throw me a bone here. What was it? So here I sit wondering and my confidence shaken a bit, but I won’t give up.
It’s been a few days and I am feeling better about the whole situation and looking into where my journey should lead next. I have been seriously considering self publishing and I think I have pretty much made up my mind. I have been doing a lot of research and my husband has been helping with a lot of things to help me. The story is ready, but is going through one more check for grammar and now I am stuck with coming up with a cover. Who knew that would be my major block in being self published. So I have my account with several self publishing sites and I am ready to move forward as soon as I figure out what to do about the cover. I may be down, but not beaten. Stay tuned!
